The activity introduces Captain Sam who knows there is treasure buried on an island, but he only has an outline map. Students record the route he takes by following a series of bearings and distances.
The worksheet has 5 tasks:
- Task 1: Rules for giving bearings
- Task 2: Using a rule and protractor, draw the route that Captain Sam takes
- Task 3: Find the coordinates of the treasure
