Transformations blitz

This maths worksheet on mixed transformations asks students to draw first-quadrant axes and plot sets of three points to produce six similar triangles. They then need to fully describe the transformations that map triangle ABC onto each of the other triangles.

The questions cover simple translation, reflection, rotation and enlargement. The Word and PowerPoint files give the same problem, with the answer visually demonstrated in the PowerPoint.

This activity is accessible to all students who have learned to describe simple transformations and would be particularly useful to foundation GCSE maths students as a revision activity.
