Matching graphs and equations

Use this worksheet to help your GCSE and upper KS3 students practise and consolidate their understanding of straight line graphs and linear equations. Suitable for all GCSE maths exam boards and includes answers.

For this matching activity, students will need to look for the gradients and y-intercepts of the straight line graphs to match the linear graphs and equations. There are two differentiated worksheets to choose from each with nine linear functions and graphs to match. The second set of matching activities provides a higher level of challenge some of the equations given are similar, meaning students will need to think more carefully before choosing their answers.
