Using an example of children's writing, students analyse the impact of a more knowledgeable other (MKO) on written acquisition in a classroom context, in relation to the work of linguists Vygotsky and Bruner. There are ten questions for students to answers. The resource includes teaching notes with suggested answers to develop students' understanding of how to analyse written texts in preparation for their exams.
