This Spanish starter on food and drink will engage your students at the beginning of the lesson or the start of this topic. There are 10 rows of three Spanish food words on the worksheet. Students must decide which of the three words they think is the odd one out in each case and why. There are no right or wrong answers, as long as the students can justify their reasoning. Their choice could be based on colour, spelling, gender or personal opinions, for example. It's a great way to introduce or embed some new vocabulary too!
