How to use this resource

Set up a dedicated Remembrance Day art station where children can browse the choice board and select an activity that appeals to them. Begin with an age-appropriate discussion about why we remember, then allow children to express their understanding through creative work. The differentiation guidance helps you support learners at different stages, whilst the templates and word banks provide scaffolding for those who need it.

Display finished artwork around your classroom or corridor to create a powerful visual tribute, or consider connecting with local veterans' organisations who might appreciate receiving children's thank you cards. You could also photograph the completed work to create a digital remembrance gallery for families to view.
