In this well-rounded lesson, year 8 students practise reading/listening skills, pronunciation, vocabulary and the immediate future in the context of a family with two fathers and two adopted children.
The activities practise:
- reading/listening for specific information
- pronunciation of the nasal sounds ‘en/an’, ‘in/ain’ and ‘on’ and the diphthong ‘ien’.
- vocabulary for family members and holidays
- the immediate future.

Bonjour! Je m’appelle Manon et j’ai douze ans. J’habite près de Menton, en France, dans une ancienne grange avec ma famille. Nous sommes quatre: mon père Julien, mon père Sylvain, mon petit frère et moi. Il y aussi mes chiens, qui s’appellent Prince et Titan. Mon frère, qui a huit ans, s’appelle Dion et nous sommes adoptés.
