What to write in a letter to Father Christmas

A letter to Father Christmas can take many forms depending on your learning objectives. Students might write a traditional wish list, explaining why they deserve particular gifts and reflecting on their behaviour throughout the year. Alternatively, they could craft thank you letters for previous presents, complaint letters about deliveries gone wrong, or even persuasive arguments about Father Christmas's existence. More creative approaches include writing from an elf's perspective or composing letters on behalf of fictional characters. The key is to encourage students to structure their letters properly with clear openings, detailed middle paragraphs and appropriate sign-offs.
