Students brush up their knowledge of EU history and compare and practise the uses of the present perfect and past simple with for/since/in.
They then go on to practise the two tenses in a variety of different contexts, including:
- complete and incomplete tasks on a to-do list
- holiday experiences.
The resource uses a 'test, teach, test' approach and ends with a gap fill task to assess students' learning.
Exercise 1
Look carefully at these sentences and decide if they are grammatically correct (C) or not (N).
