This EAL resource pack provides collaborative opportunities for KS2 multilingual learners to develop listening and speaking skills while building vocabulary and content knowledge in Part 1. In Part 2, learners expand on this knowledge through extended conversations and writing activities.
Part 1 uses visuals to help learners understand Ice Age animals and includes a listening jigsaw activity where students practice descriptive language by guessing animals their classmates describe. Part 2 builds on this foundation, enabling learners to have deeper conversations as they compare and contrast different Ice Age animals. Both parts include word mats and flashcards to support vocabulary development.
